The Rotar Screening Bucket is an attachment designed for hydraulic machines such as skidsteers, backhoe/wheel loaders and excavators. Rotars are attached to the carrier units by bracket or quick coupler. The Rotar Screening Attachment is a cylindrical cage connected to a frame by rotation bearings. The cage is made of two parts: the lower section scoop or bucket with cutting teeth--and the upper section--the lid. When in the open position, the lower section acts as the shovel or scoop to pick up material. When the lid is closed, the cage is formed. Rotation of the cage is by a chain driven gear, sprocket and hydraulic motor assembly mounted in the frame. Variable speed and direction, forward or reverse, are controlled by the hydraulic oil pressure provided by the carrier and operated by a joy stick in the cab of the carrier tractor or machine. Rotation of the cage is 360 degrees continuous. Insert screen sizes determine the material retained within the bucket. After dumping the oversize material, the Rotar automatically returns to the open position to process the next load. The Rotar allows you to pick up, size, separate and unload the oversized material in one continuous operation. There are no moving parts within the Rotar drum to seize, thus eliminating flow through problems caused by foreign material (i.e. rebar, plastic, roots, stems, wire, etc.). Sizing is simple gravity and centrifugal rotation. In addition to material sizing the Rotar screen, due to its centrifugal motion, is ideal for dewatering material prior to final screening and sizing. |
